May 6: 1:00 -3:00 p.m. - Leonard Hall
What is Chat 'n' Chew and Why a Party? Chat 'n' Chew is the small group discussion time (that's the chat part) kids have each Sunday with their Discipler. It's the time they talk through what they have learned and experienced that morning. Kids are given a piece of gum to chew on during their small group time (that's the chew part). In Base Camp Sunday mornings 1st - 5th grade kids earn Base Camp Bucks, the purpose is to provide a means to teach kids the significance of Matthew 6:19-21 - where your treasure is, there your heart is also. In Base Camp kids experience putting their faith into action. Each week kids are encouraged to tithe their bucks. This money is used to support our mission focus for the year. Through the Chat 'n' Chew party, kids have an opportunity to spend their bucks in our Base Camp store. Kids are encouraged to invite their school and neighborhood friends and share their bucks with them so they too can buy items in the store. Our store is stocked with items to give as gifts, items they can buy and enjoy for themselves. The Chat 'n' Chew Party is an awesome time of games, crafts, shopping and fellowhship.
